About Nan
Second generation, born and raised in California, I have lived up and down the coast from San Francisco to San Diego and several cities in-between.
We purchased property in the Sacramento Mountains of southeastern New Mexico several years ago – with the intention of having an outpost where we could go camping on our own land. Little did we know, it would become our permanent homestead!

For a journal of our relocation adventures, visit my Piñon & Ponderosa blog.
Now, we happily live and work from our log home in the small mountain village of Timberon, New Mexico, surrounded by the Lincoln National Forest. My husband works for the local contractor and rescues auto parts on the side.
I create and sell my egg art and ostrich eggshell jewelry online, and at local events. You can see my work at my Enchanted Hen Productions website.
I also teach egg art e-Classes online at NanetteThorell.com
This blog is meant to serve as a companion to my Enchanted Hen Productions website, where I can share random thoughts about my work. I hope you enjoy it and will visit often.
Please feel free to leave comments on any of the articles – I always enjoy them!
